"A big thank you to all the people who have left such lovely messages for me over the years, here are just some of the comments you have been kind enough to leave."

Karlyn from The Netherlands (1 July 2009)

Hi Sue! Hotel Inspector aired in The Netherlands today. The combination of a lovely hotel and a good heart will pay off one day. I have to compliment you on the metaphors that you manage to slip through the montage a few times. If your hotel dream ever fades, please come to The Netherlands to teach English language! ;)

Annie from Denver, CO (6 July 2009)

I, too, have just seen you on The Hotel Inspector and found your hotel to be absolutely beautiful. You are such a lovely person. Why not put a picture of yourself taken in the garden on the homepage with a note that says "your hostess". You truly are the business and I believe will continue to be a big draw for your hotel. My son & I will be visiting and I have already bookmarked this website for future visits. Best of luck to you!

David from Manhattan New York (6 July 2009)

Sue, I recently viewed an episode on television regarding your hotel. I have to say, you are a splendid hostess. More so, I anticipate a short stay in the UK in the upcoming weeks, and will definately plan a stay at the Tasburgh.

Hotel Inspector
Paula from USA (6 July 2009)

I agree with Dottie, I´m watching your hotel on Hotel Inspector in July 09 as well and you have a beautiful and elegant hotel. I hope to come to historic Bath and I certainly would like to stay at your hotel and have tea in the conservatory. As an intellectual property attorney, I´m glad you stuck with the name "Come as a guest and leave as a friend." It sounds very inviting and warm. 50/50 on the bears though, as long as it´s in a corner not on the bed the bear can be charming. Why don´t you dress the bear like the character in the room it represents, for example, the Emily Bronte Bear, the George Eliot bear (which is a woman of course) etc, and name the bear the same as the room? You can possibly even sale the bears and get a license to sell them as little momentos of the room for people who love bears, they would really like that..hotel souvenirs as well.

Ann from Florida, USA (6 July 2009)

Just watched The Hotel Inspector which featured your hotel. It looks wonderful the next time my husband and I take a vacation in the UK we will definately stay. I do hope that there will be a Teddy Bear in our room. Good luck.

Hello from Iowa!
Jennifer from West Des Moines, IA, USA (9 July 2009)

Sue, Add me to the growing list of fans of your hotel from watching The Hotel Inspector on BBC America. You seem like the loveliest person, and I sincerely hope that when the day comes that I visit Bath (and it will come) that there is a vacancy in your beautiful hotel. Keep up the fantastic work! signed, A future guest

Looking Forward to Staying
Katie from Tacoma, WA USA (13 July 2009)

When I saw your hotel on Hotel Inspector I was so impressed with the quality, beauty and of course the teddies! My husband and I are dying to travel to England and hope to come and visit you in the next few years. I have a small suggestion for the teddy bear problem (according to Ruth), maybe you could make the teddy bears an optional click box on online booking, like the gift wrap click box on shopping websites. If someone wants a teddy in the room they would need to click the teddy box (a check off box with the phase "prefers teddy bear in room")during booking.

Saw your Hotel Inspector Show!
Ariane Benefit from Bloomfield, NJ (14 July 2009)

We loved what we saw of your hotel and like so many others, we fell in love with you too Sue! Just wanted to compliment you on your incredible grace under pressure and in listening to so much difficult feedback. You are an inspiration and role model for any business person. We hope to come and visit someday so if you have a mailing list, please put us on it! Warmest Regards from New Jersey, USA

Recent Stay
Gareth from Cambridge (16 July 2009)

Fantastic friendly welcome from all the staff in this beautiful hotel. Special thanks to the absolutely gorgeous Toni who quickly provided me with the toothpaste I had forgotten to pack and the gummi bears with my glass of wine.
